Jodi -- That could definitely work, unless your teeth are too close together

to get the bands between them. My ortho wanted to do that to my molars but

couldn't get them on b/c everything was too tight. --

My teeth that needed the bands were too tight too. What they generally

do before banding is put in spacers for a 3-7 days to make room for the

bands.

Good luck on your next appt Jodi :) It'll work out, one way or the

other, guaranteed :) :)

My ortho uses a special porcelain glue, he has a specific procedure

for how he uses it (including etching, I think), and I had no

problems with brackets coming off. I only have 2 crowns and a bridge

on my lower left, certainly not as many as you.

Now my ortho also tried to put spacers in my rear teeth (no crowns)

but couldn't get them in, so no metal bands and he also gave up on

that. But I believe that wasn't critical to my treatment.

I would be up front with your ortho and say you are concerned, and

ask if he can suggest someone else if he can't do the job. Or explain

why six teeth don't need brackets. I wouldn't necessarily walk out on

him since you'll need his records for the next ortho.

By the way, Cammie here is the queen - she has more crowns than

anyone I know and her ortho didn't have any troubles fitting brackets

on them either, as far as I know.
