Guest guest
Happy weekend all! Could we make this another 3 day weekend please? Doc got a new toy yesterday and I got to be the guinea pig. Some sort of new bone density machine where you scan your non-dominant hand and bam! a reading. Pretty neat and since I just had my dexa it compares pretty closely with those results. Got a cute picture of my hand, a graph and t and z score results. Shows osteopenia with a t-score of -1.52 and z score -1.17 My Dexa had a t score of -1 and a z score of -1.1 So it looks to me that both these tests had pretty similar results. If anything, the new bone density test (with the hand) actually showed more osteopenia then the dexa did. Does anyone have any experience with this new test? Any comments?? I'm going to show both to Doc to see what he has to say. Needless to say, I'm not happy about the results and will be switching to the super duper calcium citrate and I think sue suggested boron too.
