Guest guest
Dear All- I would really like your help and advice. My son has Prader Willi Syndrome, which is a gentic disorder. Main charcteristics are food foraging, perserveration " getting stuck on something " , OCD, some obsessive compulisve behaviors, tantrums. Everyone tells me that the " food stuff " is not the main issue, but the behavior problems that manifest later in life. A lot of older children are also on Prozac or other SSRI's and other behavior meds. Older patients are described as manipulative, tempers, argumentative, OCD- not everyone is like this but I am just quoting from medical texts. My question is this- I honestly believe that some of this stuff can be alleviated and I believe that this could help..... In your opinions, from the characteristics that I listed, could the GFCF diet help? I am an RN and would be extremely committed to this if you all felt that it could help him. Thanks in advance.
