Hi Hanyvee,

First I got a good idea from my orthodontist when he thought I'd be

ready for surgery. Kaiser is generally booked six months out. I got

the o.k. from my orthodontist in April that I'd be ready by autumn,

then I scheduled with Kaiser for October, but later changed it to

December to work better with my work schedule.

If you're ready now, expect to get booked for surgery in 6 to 8

months.

The class was great, but I honestly already knew everything they

taught just from reading these boards for 18 months. But they do go

into detail about Kaiser Oakland specifics like where to park, where

to go for preop appts., etc.

Hi Maddie,

Thanks for the info about the class. How long does it take from them

to call you for your surgery date after your surgery has been

approved? My appt was last week and I'm still waiting for my surgery

date. And you are right they are booked till october.
