Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of having tonsils and adenoids removed as an adult? Mine are quite large. My ortho had sent me to an ENT to have them looked at and the ENT recommends that I have them removed. However, I know that as an adult (I'm 27) that it is more risky than a child and I have a friend who's adult died 9 days after having hers removed because of hemoraging. My airway is a bit obstructed but not to the point that it bothers me. I'm really nervous about the idea of having them removed. I searched for some resources on the internet for information on adult tonsil and adenoid removal but didn't find much. I see my ortho tomorrow and I don't really know what to tell or say to him regarding this matter. Any info, help or suggestions? Thanks so much!!
