Guest guest
I've been on the intro diet for a grand total of 1 day, and I had a question regarding milk products in the early stages of the diet. In the " intro " diet, what milk products are allowed? From BTVC, it seems that she recommends eating a bunch of SCD yogurt and the cheesecake recipe and what-not, but looking at Pecanbread.com, for example, it seems that they prefer holding off on Yogurt for ~3 months. Is this because Pecanbread.com is more focused on Autism, and Autism is more sensitive to Lactose? If some milk products are allowed in the intro phase, can I use SCD-legal cheeses? (Some background) I'm 26, without a diagnosis (not for lack of tests and effort), but with IBS-like symptoms, lots of weight loss, etc. I came to SCD in a sort of weird route, in that I went on a strict ketosis (<20g carb) diet several months ago and found that the canker sores that I had ~90% of the time for the last 7 years went away entirely. While my intestinal issues hadn't gone away entirely, it was enough to keep me off of carbs until I came across info on SCD (which is LESS restrictive than my last diet) and started reading up on that.
