Guest guest
Kristy, It looks like your post got lost in the shuffle this weekend. Did you get this resolved? Are you still having issues? Let us know how things are going, please. Hopefully everything is better now! & (3-16-00, left clubfoot) > > I took his shoes off for his bath and when I went to put them back on, > he was fine for the right one but got completely hysterical when I > tried to put the left one on. Guest guest
I managed to get his shoes on him in the middle of the night while he was asleep, but he was screaming again Sunday Morning so I stripped him down to his diaper and realized it wasn't his foot, but his ankle. He was swollen all the way up to his knee, so off to Children's Hospital we went and his ortho met us there. They did X Rays and didn't come up with anything so he is out of his shoes until tomorrow to give his muscles and tendons a rest. We have an Appt at 11:00 tomorrow to see if we can work with the shoes he has. If not, I'm not sure what they will do.... > > > > I took his shoes off for his bath and when I went to put them back > on, > > he was fine for the right one but got completely hysterical when I > > tried to put the left one on. Guest guest
I'm so sorry! I hope you can figure out what's going on quickly. A while ago, I remember reading about one child w/ swelling and redness and they thought at the time that it might be an allergic reaction to metal in the brace. Unfortunately, I don't remember the outcome, if it was posted. Please be careful in re-introducing the brace after he's been left out for a few days. If his feet are relapsed, it will be very uncomfortable for him. How old is your son? Please keep us posted! & (3-16-00, left clubfoot) > > > > > > I took his shoes off for his bath and when I went to put them > back > > on, > > > he was fine for the right one but got completely hysterical when > I > > > tried to put the left one on.
