casette tape and thanks for list

Just wondered - do any of you know of or have used a tape that prepares you

for surgery? This would be a casette tape that you play to get your

subconscious mind in the right frame of mind to go through surgery, heal

faster, etc. Have any of you used something like this? I know I read about

it somewhere, but I can't remember where and I would like to start doing

something like that while I am in the preparation phase of this surgery.

btw, I told my Mom about all I have learned on this list and she said " it's

too bad you can't meet people who have been thru it " - tried to explain to

her that I am talking to people who have been thru it, over 1,000 on this

list. My Mom has never been on line and doesn't even want to learn about how

to go on line. Then she also said

" well, aren't those things the Dr. will tell you? " I said yes, but I can

guarantee you that I would never have enough time to talk to the Dr. to ask

him all the questions that have been answered on this list. Nor would I have

ever even known what questions to ask or what different aspects to look for

or question.

This list is a Godsend. Thanks to you all. Maybe we all have guardian

angels who have led us to know about DS and send us to this list!
