Guest guest
My surgery was covered by my medical insurance, as the correction of a congenital abnormality. My dental insurance paid somewhere between $1,000 and $1,500 on the braces, which was a far cry from what they cost. It has a specific cap on payments for ortho. And some people really have to fight to get approval from the insurance companies. Generally speaking, genioplasty, if you're to have that, is not covered by insurance, because it's deemed " cosmetic. " Occasionally people have managed to get it covered, but not very often.
