HELP! He won't let me put the left shoe back on....

I took his shoes off for his bath and when I went to put them back on,

he was fine for the right one but got completely hysterical when I

tried to put the left one on. I checked his feet and they look OK and

he doesn't freak out if I touch them, just when I try to buckle the

shoe. It is obviously painful....any ideas??? Thanks!
