Guest guest
Try Benefiber for constipation. It's a powder you mix with anything liquidy. It has no flavor or texture when mixed well. It's from the makers of ex-lax. It's great. Colleen > > > I'm still pre-op, but I've started taking what I think will be the > vitamins I'll need after surgery. Guest guest
Hi Pam, The vitamin at walmart is called OneSource for skin, hair and nails.... it has heaps of the type of vitimins that post-ops needs. Purple box, I think. You take 2 a day, and you'll get a 30 day supply for $4.94, not bad, altho I haven't had the surgery.. yet... I take these daily, it hasn't been quite a month and already I see a difference in my nails, and seem's to be less strands of hair at the drain after my shower. I'd recommend it highly! You can get it at walmart. -- Hugs,
Guest guest
I am taking something now that my dietician recommended to me. I ordered it from Walgreens.com and it is called Optisource. It is a chewable vitamin and I take 4 of them a day, but it's better than the 3 Flinstones, 3 Tums, iron and B-12 I was taking. I had my surgery on March 10, 2004 and so I'm a little over 2 months now and feel great. Good Luck! 261/207/
Guest guest
I take Viactive every day. Some on here say we shouldn't take that. But I was tested 3 weeks ago to see how my vitamins are and everything was fine except Iron. So I asked about what some on here have said about Viactive and they said its fine to take. Guest guest
, Calcium is absorbed in an acid invironment. The problem with the idea of Tums being a source of calcium is when it is introduced into the stomach, the Tums netralizes the acid. Therefore, the calcium isn't absorbed. Citrate is an acid. Therefore it is absorbed. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi! Thanks for all the advice about the vitamins. My doctor gave me a list of vitamins I need, but no specific brands, so with his list and your advice, I have come up with this...... AM 2- " Bariatric Advantage " chewable mulit-vitamins 1000 mcg Biotin 2 Citracal (630mg calcium citrate each, w/400mg vitamin D) 1 sublingual 500 mcg B-12 PM 1 Trinsicon 1 chewable 500 mg. Vitamin C How does this sound? I have covered all of the doctor's requirements, but what about the requirements of those who sometimes know even more....you who have been there? I am 12 days out, and feeling pretty good...just mainly tired. Cindy
