Guest guest
Hi I'm new to this group, and hopefully someone can answer my questions based on your experiences. I'm considering Orthogenic surgery primarily because I am unhappy with my appearance. I am 53 years old and have put this off for some time. My OS participates in my dental plan but not my medical plan which is Healthnet. Healthnet will only pay for 3 reasons: 1. Neoplasm 2. Trauma 3. Significant Unilateral Symetry. I don't think I qualify under these conditions. I do have signicant gasro- intestinal trouble (I had my pre- cancerous colon removed) and my OS is having my GI doctor write a letter saying the surgery would improve my digestive tract by allowing me to chew my food better. Has anyone had success with their insurance in this manner? Also, my OS said he would work with me to pay him if I get turned down, but it would be great if Healthnet would pay for my hospitalization, I also receive Medicare (Hospital benefits only)and I wanted to know if anyone had Medicare paying for their hospitalization. It's a lot of questions and I thank anyone in advance for their patience in answering me.
