regression since going GFCF

My 3.5 year old son, Danny, also regressed in a big way in the several weeks

after going cold turkey GFCF. In retrospect, we should have phased the diet in

more gradually. But since then, he's at least back to baseline and on good days

more verbal, etc. So this regression may be signs of good things to come. Hope

so!

Subject: I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP NOW!!!!!

Okay, I took the kids to the allergist again today and

he did some scratch testing and gave me prescriptions

for the RAST testing.

I have 2 major problems:

At the doctor's office my kids were absolutely awful

and I have never been so embarrased in my life. Tyler

(my 2 yr old) was running around everywhere screaming

and trying to run out the doors and throwing awful

tantrums when I wouldnt let him, and (my almost

7 yr old) was running around, screaming and when I

wouldnt let him run he was yelling at me and hitting

me (even slapped me in the face). Then when the nurse

tried to do the skin testing on him he tried to hit

her and screamed and cried (cant wait to do the blood

test), and TYler screamed and cried the entire 15

minutes that we had to hold his arm still to wait for

the results. They were yelling, screaming and hitting

each other the entire time the doctor tried to talk to

me about the results and I couldnt hear a thing. I

CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!! starts 2nd grade

next week and he is worse now then he was a couple of

weeks ago (before we started the GFCF diet). He is

more aggressive, more angry, more hyper and just plain

MORE!!!!! I dont even know how to discipline him. I

dont spank, because I tried it once (and to be honest,

I think that is why he is doing more hitting). Time

outs in his room have no effect ( although I havent

tried banning him to his room the entire day yet). I

have tried soap in the mouth for the swearing (worked

a little, but not consistently), I tried 1-2-3 magic,

but it doesnt work anymore. I have tried throwing

away a toy for everytime he hits, doesnt work. I

really need advice.

ALso, the dr told me to stick to staying away from

dairy and wheat, and for tyler he now wants me to stay

away from soy. (great, now what do I do?) He gave

me a prescription for the RAST testing, but he left it

blank. He wants me to fill in the foods that I want

tested for ( on this little white prescription note).

Any ideas what foods I should have them test for other

then the 3 listed above?

Please, I am truly at the end of my rope. I am

sitting here before noon drinking a Mikes Hard

Lemonade which is DEFINATELY not me. I need some help

and advice soon. I am the worst cook ever and now I

have to try and figure out how to bake breads (which

are harder then normal breads just for the fact that

they dont have GLUTEN) and cookies, and cakes, and

suppers, and I still have no clue what to do for them

for lunches or quick meals. I have the " More from the

Gluten Gormet " book, but mostly international foods

and not alot of help. I am just TOO, TOO overwhelmed

right now.

HELP!!!!!!
