Guest guest
Hi all, I'm a 25 years old female with Ankylosing spondylitis and Cronh's disease. Does anybody have experience a reduction in arthitic pain with SCD ? I've read a few stories on the web telling SCD was working for joint pain, Elaine mentionned it as well in her book. But I'm now on SCD for more than 8 months and still totally relying on drugs for pain control. The problem here is that in order to manage the back and sacro-illiac pain I need to take Naproxen (anti inflammatory drug). However, this drug is really irritating for the gut and might explain why I can't get rid of my symptoms of Cronh's disease. And because I still have inflammation in my gut, it probably increase the inflammation in the joint. If I stop taking Naproxen though my back will hurt so much I won't sleep and my everyday activities will be hell. Oh, and yes, I've been on Humira before. It was working well. But I started losing my hair, panicked, considered the fact that I was taking a very strong immunosuppressive drug, decided it was not a good thing and stopped it by myself. Any stories, ideas or suggestions to share ? Many thanks !
