Guest guest
I have some friends at work that are trying to lose weight by using Atkins. They didn't need to lose as much to start with, so they probably have a good shot at it. Anyway, they have been really supportive of me and my surgery. We decided to do weekly weigh-ins to watch our progress and help support each other. We started this 3 weeks ago and our goal was to lose 20 lbs by Nov 21. I wasn't sure if I would make that, but I figured I could try. I have been eating everything I want and I haven't really changed anything for this weigh-in stuff. As of today I have lost 10 lbs since we started. That puts me at a total loss of 50 lbs! I can't believe that I have lost more weight than either of my kids weigh. I only have 40 more pounds to lose until I make my personal goal. That means I am more than halfway there! I know this will slow down and I know I will hit plateaus, but today I am feeling pretty proud of myself. I even started exercising at the gym at work today. I haven't exercised since I was in highschool. This surgery may seem like a miracle sometimes, but I know it was just the exact tool that I needed. Kathy M. DS 7/19/01 213 pre-op 163 today!
