Guest guest
I hate to hear the disappointment about the Richmond meetings. We finally got her to give us two a month and they are filling up. They have a lot of newbies who have lots of practical questions that do not relate directly to " therapy " But that is OK with me. The chatterer was very annoying. knows her and if she reads this will tell her the rules. But the therapist is not a leader who could pull that girl in. Or anyone in. I fault her for that but she is a therapist not a group leader, I guess. I get a lot out of the meeting because I put a lot in and because I am listening so hard to any idea that is new or relevant, like keeping a journal even though I have already eaten a cherry tomato or not. I will try that. My doctor chatised me so much yesterday for nibbling or grazing, even on cherry tomatoes that I stopped. I found out that I missed the fun of eating, not the food, so much. Oh this is such a complicated process we are in. In any case, Gity is the best because she makes her meeting a safe place for our deepest feelings and that is what therapy is all about.Someone accused her of lecturing to us but I don't think her comments are lecturing. It is just that she has a real philosophy and belief that we can get past these problems, these addictions. No amount of money can pay for that knowledge. And we get it for free. Love to all, Lilka
