outreach with seasonal farmworkers--your experience and ideas

Dear Farmworker Health

Colleague,

I am doing research on

how health organizations are specifically targeting seasonal farmworkers with

their health outreach efforts. For those of you who serve seasonal

farmworkers and who have implemented certain strategies and programs to meet

the needs of this segment of the farmworker population, I would appreciate the

opportunity to speak with you in the near future.

Some of the areas I would

like to discuss:

Any

particular challenges you face in effectively reaching this population and the reasons

why these challenges exist;

Strategies

you have found that work well in addressing the identified challenges;

·

Specific

strategies you may have for getting seasonal farmworkers to visit your clinic, especially

if you have found that they are not inclined to come in despite intensive outreach

efforts;

·

Key

partnerships/collaborative efforts you’ve set up in the community to

better target this population.

Any

other ideas you may have.
