Guest guest
Hello everyone, After starting my 2.4 yo son on a CF five days ago, I have seen some good and bad days. He is definately more " with us " , balance and co- ordination is better, eye contact is better, anxiety level decreased (will now play alongside his cousins he once feared). THere have been some behaviours I have NEVER seen before like on day 2 he lined up cars once that day, and yesterday and today days 4 and 5 he woke in the morning really aggressive kicking the bathroom door. He has never exhibited aggressiveness on that scale before. Actually aggressive is not a adjective I would have ever used to descibe Jack. Is this normal to see withdrawals e.g aggressiveness (assuming it is withdrawal) as late as day 4 and 5?? How long can I expect the withdrawals to last for? I have read conflicting evidence and can't remember where I read it to go back and check. Thanks, Roula
Guest guest
All kids are different. For my child (who went gf and cf at the same time), withdrawal behavior - like you are describing - escalated over the first week, though mixed with many improvements, too. Then the good behaviors increased and the bad behaviors decreased over days 7 to 14. Then gluten withdrawal hit during weeks 3 - 4, and he went through a similar process. Door kicking & aggression - yep, sounds like classic withdrawal to me. Have the crying & screaming started yet? The hunt for anything with milk in it? Oh, well, just remind yourself of all the improvements that you are seeing, too, and you'll get through it. > > Hello everyone, > > After starting my 2.4 yo son on a CF five days ago, I have seen some > good and bad days.
