Guest guest
Light sensitivity is common to people with light colored eyes. It can also be indicative of brain inflammation like encephalitis or when a particular herpes virus (HHV6) takes up residence in the brain tissue. There may be sound sensitivity as well. Remember what it feels like to have a cold or flu ?? I've always been told that dilated pupils are a sign that oxygen is not reaching the brain. I highly recommend the book THE VIRUS WITHIN for those seeking addtl info on HHV6 My son was on antivirals for a year. Blood tests showed high herpes infections (CMV, EB and HHV6). He no longer has a high sensitivity to light or sounds ... he still have to wear sunglasses because his eyes are blue but he no longer runs from the room when a blender or vacuum cleaner is turned on. He also no longer throws a fit when the barber cuts his hair with an electric razor.
