Guest guest
I teach freshmen in college and it would be VERY difficult to go running out of class or have all the students go running out of class if I dropped a smelly bomb! ********* In case you end up with that effect, it sounds like a case for that charcoal lined panty product mentioned a few days back. Can't have you spraying after every couple of sentances. ROTFL... I know, NOT FUNNY! But I'm laughing at the image.... Danine'
Guest guest
Bev, I'm one who has had problems with diarrhea. I'm 4 months out and am now finally getting control thanks to the great advice of some of the people on this list. It's not uncommon to have diarrhea but it is for this long. Pre-op I had IBS and had hoped surgery would take cre of it as that's what I had read happened for most other post-ops. But I had the opposite reaction. I'm in your position, too. I'm a teacher and haven't returned to work yet. But if all goes as it has for the past few days I'll be back in a week. Just keep a notebook off all the possible problems you see here and the suggestions that people make to reslove them. Good luck! Micky Question > Hi all, > > I've been reading all the posts on this list now for several months. Many of you are very encouraging and I am so thankful for the information you share. > > I have my pre-op appointment with Dr. Sudan in Omaha on Sept. 13. I'm very excited and eager to get the process started. I have CHAMPVA insurance and a representative faxed me copies of their policy and they will pay! > > One concern I have is all this talk about *potent* gas, uncontrollable bms and frequent bms. Is it just luck of the draw or has anyone been able to establish a relationship between any pre-op variables? I teach freshmen in college and it would be VERY difficult to go running out of class or have all the students go running out of class if I dropped a smelly bomb! > > I'm hoping to have surgery early in December and be back in the classroom mid-January. Again, my biggest fear is the unknown effect on the bowels. > > Any advice? > > Bev > pre-op Dr. Sudan > BMI 42 > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >
Guest guest
First let me thank all of you for your welcomes and kind words. I 'm glad to be here (but wish i didn't have to be) I'm sure you all know what I mean. I wish none of us had to be here. I have a question, I've over the last few month been having increasing pain in my knees, ankles, wrists, hands etc. The MRI showed arthritis but my Pulmonologist said Sarcoid Arthritis doesn't hurt at all?? I'm reading about people having similar problems. I'm now extremely confused. Is he wrong and It's just an amazing coincidence that all this Arthritis is happening 3 years after the official diagnosis of my Sarcoid (even though I've had it for 8-9 years ) or do other's have pain from Sarcoid Arthritis and my Pulmonologist is wrong. advice please Mitch
Guest guest
Your pulmonologist is wrong. Very wrong. I sure as hell wish that the "sarc arthritis was 'painless." My pulmonologist did the same dance-- sarc is a lung disease, it doesn't effect other systems, ya da ya da..-- and even after I had proof positive of muscle, nerve, cognitive issues via neuropsych testing (when it is vasculitis, you can have intermittent mental issues) and muscle/nerve conduction tests showed marked impairment-- along with small nerve fibre neuropathy- he wanted to fight me on this issue. I finally asked him if he had the Neurologists report and the reports from the Neuropsychiatrist-- and he'd never received them. So I copied mine-- again and sat there blocking the door of the exam room while he read them-- and apologized for his ignorance. We no longer have to battle over this issue. He's still a prednisone man-- but is open now to using MTX, Plaquenil, Arava and the BRM's if his patients are multisymptamatic. I've backed down also, in that I will take a 4 day push of pred (40, 30, 20, 10) if I get a respiratory infection. So here is an article on sarcoid induced arthritis: http://www.uptodate.com/patients/content/topic.do?topicKey=~LUeMMBWvdc8cyZS Dr. Sharma also addresses this issue on his site. www.sarcoidosissharma.com Take care, Tracie NS Co-onwer/moderator To: Neurosarcoidosis Sent: Thu, October 29, 2009 6:06:32 PMSubject: Question First let me thank all of you for your welcomes and kind words.
