Lapband vs. G.I. Bypass

I was told by my Parkshadeland's KP PCP that the lapband procedure is

not as effective as the GI Bypass...as far as losing the excess weight

and keeping it off long-term. Have any of you heard similar

statements?

That's what the long-term statistics indicate. I

was kinda surprised when Kaiser even started offering the lap-band.
