Guest guest
Bob, Maybe I am missing part of the story because i haven't been keeping up like I used to but it seems your OS screwed up?? I mean I hope that the redo surgery is completely cost free to you. What does your OS say about this happenening? How are you going to be compensated for the adsditional time, pain , suffering? Was this a risk that anyone was warned of? I was curious right before my surgery because I had heard of people's jaw returning to old positions but was never warned of this personally or had it disclosed from my dr that this is a risk we take. Were you? I am so angry for you!! I just can't believe this would happen... Guest guest
Hi Bob, I've been wondering how you were doing after surgery and hoping you were doing well. If you remember me, I had a similar situation that all started at the dentist too, I had my lower advance 3 weeks ago. I'm so sorry to hear about the relaspse situation. I was hoping you would find out that your muscles were compensating and that you wouldn't need a 2nd surgery. HOW ON EARTH DOES A RELASPE HAPPEN WHEN SURGERY PHYSICALLY ALTERS YOUR BONE STRUCTURE? It doesn't make sense, shouldn't it be physically impossible when they lengthen or shorten something?. I started with an overbite, and after surgery it was off side to side, but now I notice my teeth sinking back a bit into an overbite again. I am only banded with 2 rubber bands in front, no splint. I have fears of the same thing, but hope it's just my muscles adjusting. I hope things go well with the OS. Please keep us posted, I'm curious about the explanation of the relaspe. You sound like a very optimistic guy, you are handling things better than I would. I hope September comes soon enough for you and this whole thing will be behind you soon.
