I won't be here today to respond(toddler music class for my 2 yr

old, school and dance for my 5 yr old), but I just wanted to let

everyone know how we are doing. Yesterday, he was in a good mood,

but slipped out of his cf shoe around 5 times. He had red spots on

both heels which faded. He took 2 1 hr naps in our bed, but asleep

not in my arms atleast.

I printed out the Markell size sheet. He was wearing size 1 M.

According to the chart, he needs a 1 or 1.5 for his normal foot and

a 0 for his clubfoot.

We had some open heel 0M from his previous brace contraption, so

last night dh took the rubber bottom off the old one, attached the

plate, and we fitted it on there. Wow, what a difference. His foot

fits in it great. I will send a pic tonight. And it is open heel

so we can see that his heel is down! He slept comfortably for 4 hr,

and then was fretful the rest of the night until 5am, but is still

asleep right now with brace on! When he wakes I am going to

investigate(husband put his shoes on) and see if they are positioned

correctly, check for red spots, etc., but he looks firm in it this

time!

I am just so mad at the nurse that wouldn't listen to us, caused us

a lot of uneccessary grief. His dr is 2.5 hrs away so it isn't like

I can just jaunt down the street to swap out pairs, esp having

traveling hubby and 2 kids one in school. grrr.

So he currently has a 0M for his clubfoot and 1M for his normal.
