Guest guest
Hello everybody, I sent an email to Dr. Ponseti asking for an advice about the situation of my son feet. He has bilateral clubfeet, treated with Ponseti method: tenotomy has been performed 6 weeks ago and then we tried the DBB but without success because of a variety of factors (bar length was wrong, etc etc.) We ordered the P/M brace which arrived today (thanks Jean!) and we are going to bring it to our Dr. as he has never seen it (we are in Italy): according to him, the right foot is good with a almost sufficient dorsiflexion, but the left is relapsing. He believes that a second tenotomy would be needed but he is not very happy to perform it now as the left foot tendon is not yet well healed. I emailed dr., Ponseti providing a description of my situation and a link where he can find the latest pics of the feet but I still haven't got any reply (9 days have been passed already): I know that he is extremely busy so what is your advice? It is better to wait some more time or write again? I really would like to know a second opinion to share with my Dr. in order not to waste time and let the poor feet relapsing too much.
