Guest guest Posted September 19, 2001 Report Share Posted September 19, 2001 Maxine, You have lost 150 of your original 190 lbs of excess weight. That amounts to 79% of excess weight gone. This is about as good as can be expected. If you try to loose more weight by dieting you will be come catabolic and your muscle will waste away instead of your fat. Instead you should build muscle mass. You can weight train or do weight bearing sports (walking, running, cycling etc). Then you can increase your lean body mass and burn more fat. On the other hand, you can just accept yourself as you are. You are at a health weight. Here is the one thing I do agree with the " fat acceptance " movement: don't try to fit into an unrealistic body image.
