Pregnancy after DS

Hi all:

I really think that those of you gals who worry about pregnancy after

the DS are worrying for no reason. Here's why:

My sister had a JI Bypass, (YES, the BAD one), back in 1979. Since

then, she's had two kids.

Here first pregnancy was a problem, but that's because she was

married to a turd who didn't take care of her (and living in the

projects in upstate New York).

Here's what a great, caring husband he was: They decided to come

back to California to have the baby, (I think she was subconsciously

planning on getting away from him), so my parents sent them money so

they could stop at motels several times along the way and let her

rest, but the DIPSHIT she was married to insisted on driving straight

through in one shot.

Anyway, when they arrived in California, she was six months along,

and so malnourished she had to spend the last two months of her term

on bed rest. (She actually LOST money during the pregnancy.) My

nephew, Ronnie, was born several weeks preemie, and weighed only 4

lbs 6 oz at birth. (He's now 17 years old, 6'3 " tall, and weighs

about 240.)

So far this probably doesn't sound too reassuring, but read on...

Her second pregnancy proved that the problems with the first were due

to her turd husband and malnutrition. By the time of her second, she

had long-since dumped the turd and married a really great guy who

took WONDERFUL care of her during her pregnancy. This pregnancy was

completely normal, my sister gained weight just like she was supposed

to, and my neice was born absolutely healthy at close to seven

pounds.

The moral of this story is, if you want to have a child after the DS,

go ahead. Make sure you get good prenatal care, take your vitamins,

and all that sort of stuff, and you and your little bambino will be

just fine.

(:

Tom
