I weigh 422lbs, and I am in the process of having the Duodenal Switch done as soon as I am approved by my insurance co. I am so glad that I finally found this support group!!!! I belong to another support group, but unfortunately no one there has had the DS, so I have basically made alot of supporting friends there, but no one who can answer any questions, because they aren't familiar nor have any experience with this procedure. I am just so excited to finally find some where to turn to now. I have so many questions, and I look forward to becoming part of this support family. My first question is, Is there anyone here who was over 400 lbs such as myself, and has had the DS done already??? if so, how much weight have you lost thus far??? I really do have alot of questions, but I don't want to over do it on my first post. Well I guess I'll end this one here. I am not sure how this posting works, but I am going to do my best to learn it real quick. Thankyou for taking the time to read it.
