The total cost of the surgery

Greetings from the " Spud State " - I have a rather personal question for

all of you nice people who have gone thru this or are about to: How

much does this surgery cost? I need to have some sort of idea of the

cost - Surgeon's fees, hospital fees, and Orthodontic treatment. I know

that the cost varies from state to state, as well as what needs to be

done, but I'd like a general approximation so I won't be too shocked. I

went to an OMS back in 1997 for a work-up and I don't recall how much

he said it would all cost - I probably had " Sticker Shock " , but he did

tell me that every year that I waited to do it the price would go up

5%. This was the same surgeon (I earlier referred to him in a post as

the jerk) who told me that I had absolutely no say in what HE decided

to do to me. My new surgeon says that he and I will compromise and work

together for the most optimal outcome possible (nice guy!). Thanks to

you all; I'm learning so much from all of you already. Also, is the
