Guest guest
When you guys write about how frustrating it is to be wired and live on shakes or anything you can get through I kind of know what you mean - and I am well before surgery. I can open my mouth - although that first opening when I begin eating is just very small - and I can clean my teeth but I can't chew anything really. I have open bite and teeth only touch in two places. It has been getting worse and worse in the last few months and whenever a food commercial comes on or we are at friends and they are eating those great crackers and I could go on it is really frustrating. All I want is bite into something and CHew!!! I got my upper braces on 5 weeks ago and the lower ones 2 weeks ago. So the wires and brackets made bad worse. I think I am slowly getting used to them although I could tear them out sometimes. Someone wrote here that he had a sort of attachment to his braces - well I have none at this point. MY ortho said he is going to make things worse and I can't imagine how he is going to do that but I am sure he is capable of making this mess in my mouth even worse. I hope surgery will come in a year and then it is gonna be crappy but at least it will be recovery. I envy all who are on their way to healing even if they feel miserable. I hope you heal quickly and then leave all this behind fast. All the best Karola
