Guest guest
It took me a couple of months to really start taling normally again. Everyone is different, I suppose. Guest guest
Hi I had upper and lower surgery 4 weeks ago and am having speech problems too. I already had a bit of a lisp before surgery but it's a million times worse now. The " st " sound seems to be the worst for me. When I first saw my orthodontist she wanted to send me to a speech therapist then decided it would be best to wait until I'd had the surgery so I guess I'll be starting that some time soon. I think the problems are probably caused by the position of the tongue. Your tongue needs time to adjust to the new position of your teeth. I guess some people get used to it quicker than others. > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I had upper surgery (extended 5mm) and genio last wednesday and > > evrything seems to be going well except I am a little worried about > > my speech.
