Guest guest
Reminds me of an old 12 step joke about directions. You can always tell a compulsive overeater and an alcoholic by the directions they give. The compulsive overeater give you directions by restaurants and convenience stores. The alcoholic gives you directions based on bars and liquor stores. My problem was that I could give directions based on restaurants, convenience stores, bars and liquor stores. Gee, I wonder what that says about me? ) Lori Owen - Denton, Texas SRVG 7/16/01 Dr. Ritter/Dr. Bryce 479/335/??? Guest guest
My husband still teases me that when we first met that he noticed I would give directions by way of bars, taverns, etc.. I could pretty much hold a lot of liquor back then. Now, I'm an extremely cheap date. : ) Regina loriowen@... wrote: > Reminds me of an old 12 step joke about directions. Guest guest
That is funny. I have noticed people changing their eating habits around me. They either order food that is a better choice and/or eat slower. I have one friend that gets made at me because she can't eat as much as she use to, as if that is a bad thing. Of course, it also has to be my fault. I just laugh. My mom and I went to lunch not to long ago. We both ordered a salad. She had gone out with my sister the night before. My sister ordered almost all carbs. My mom was saying she didn't understand how she could continue eating like that with her weight issue. I told her that my sister no longer eats that way around me, she hardly ever gets carbs when we go out to eat. We both had a good laugh with that one. Sometimes though it is kind of sad. Guest guest
I once read an article on how men and women give directions. Men give directions by street names and whether it's North, South, East, or West. A woman gives directions by what's on the corner and if you go right or left. (that's me!!)
