Guest guest
Hang in there, Micky! I didn't have any experience with your first concern in terms of teeth not occluding (though I'm still partially banded to get my bite right), but yeah, my nose was really swollen (still is somewhat -- I'm not quite 6 weeks post-op) and a little uneven too b/c of the tube. It definitely got better within the first week or so. I was on liquids for about a month, but only had to be on *clear* liquids for the first few days. After that I was free to eat (well, drink!) anything that I could blend and get through a Zip-n-squeeze tube. I would think there should be a good chance your doc will let you go on any liquids as of Monday (there's only so much nutrients you can get from clear liquids, I would think!). So if you can blend some cake & milk or pasta & sauce, more power to you. Guest guest
Hi, These are definetly going to be the worst days for you...so hang in there. I am about 7 weeks out of my upper and lower surgery although I had a second surgery on Thursday. I was incredibly swollen after my first surgery. That slowly goes away. Plus my nose was very crooked. I was a little worried that it would go away. It finally did a couple of weeks ago. I would also guess that you will get to move beyond " clear " liquids soon. Although I will warn you that it is easy to get sick of the opaque ones too. Overall, just hang in there. You will get through it. Like I said that first couple of weeks are the worst. > > Hello, > My name is micky and i had a leforte I maxillary advancement with a > genioplasty to correct a class III underbite on 2/2/05.
