Guest guest
I noticed a few people were curious about surgical hooks, so I took a photo of mine and posted it in my album under " Yann's orthognathic surgery " . I'm sure there are a wide variety of hook flavours, but the photo shows 3 types (2 of which are your standard orthodontic hooks). The 4 large loops are the ones I woke up with after surgery (there are 6 in total), which also hold the dirty splint in place (it's impossible to clean!) If you look closely to the very left side, assuming you're not grossed out by now, you can see where the arch wire was cut. One end is twisted inward while the other is somewhat turned outward (right under my finger). Those are the famous sharp ends jabbing the inside of the cheeks when you smile. I've never used wax until now. I'm not sure if any of those are the same as the pre-surgical hooks often mentioned here. Anyway, feel free to request photos.
