Hi all! I'm so glad to see a long-term post op group! I am 17 months

post op. I had open RNY with no complications at all. I am at my

surgeons goal weight for me, which is 168 - I'm 5'9 " - but I want to

get down to about 150-155 lbs. That is my " dream " weight. In the past

few weeks, I've gained about five pounds. I went on vacation and let

myself eat whatever I wanted, so now it's back to reality. I don't

like the feeling of my pants fitting more snugly or seeing the scale

go UP instead of DOWN or the SAME. It's been very emotional because I

kind of freaked out thinking all of my weight was coming back on. So

yesterday I got on the protein train and I've been doing great! I'm

trying to stay around 20 carbs a day which is hard considering I was

eating a lot of sugar and junkie foods. I also worked out this morning

and I'm drinking a lot of water and crystal lite. I hope this works

and I can shrink my pouch and re-set my dumping mechanism. Sugar is my

weakness and I have never been a real dumper so that's a problem. I

had a tummy tuck back in March and am very pleased with my smaller

tummy. It could be a little flatter - my plastic surgeon wants to do a

little lipo to correct that - but I'm pretty happy not having a

hanging " apron " anymore.

Well, I've talked enough. Just wanted to introduce myself to the

group. I filled out my profile, so feel free to read it. :0) I look

forward to all of the encouragement and support that I know I'll find

here!

Hugs!

michelle
