My son finished his Starband a month ago. He started at 11mm asymmetry and 94%

C.I.

and got down to 0mm and 86.25% C.I. He never had any noticeable facial

asymmetry,

but now his jaw does not seem to stay aligned. When he is still, it looks

symmetrical

but when he is laughing or trying to talk it does not. I will put a picture in

the N section.

His name is P.

did have tort., but it is largely resolved. For the first few months of

his life he

only wanted to turn left (which unfortunately we didn't notice, which is why he

got the

plagio), but that was corrected by the time he got the band. Sometimes I still

see a little

head tilt, though.

So my question is: will the jaw asymmetry correct itself or does he need

physical therapy

for that? I am planning to ask the pediatrician for a referral anyway for the

head tilt,

but I do not expect cooperation. I just want to know how hard to push and also

want

to have my facts straight about what the P.T. can address.

Thanks!

This is most probably due to tort. I would print out the first picture you posted and show it to the doctot to make the case and of course push for the prescription.

Have you already had PT? When we finished our physical therapist told us just to drop by if we have any issues and she would call our doctor for presciption if we need to re-start PT.
