Hi -

We were told not to band my son when he was 4 months old, so we waited and

assumed that things would correct on their own. But when I finally broke down

and had him evaluated at 16 months old, he was measuring 15 mm of asymmetry, so

he obviously had little to no natural improvement in that year's time. Your son

is still really young, so it's possible to try repositioning for a few months

and see where you end up before deciding to band. But I wouldn't wait past 6

months old, and in my personal opinion/experience, 14mm definitely warrants

banding. Generally speaking, banding at 10mm or higher is a pretty good idea.

Good luckk with your decision!

your LOs off by? We're deciding on whether or not to get the helmet or wait

things out and see if it corrects. What do you ladies think? We're still

waiting to see if insurance will cover it. If it's under 1cm it's considered

cosmetic, and his is 1.4, so I'm hoping they'll cover it. Well, please let me

know ladies! Thanks!

Hi - when you say you were told at 4mths  it would right itself 'on its own'  -  did you still carry on with all the repo etc and your sons headshape got worse despite it, or had you been persuaded to leave repo off in favour of nature?
