Guest guest
, It was in 1990 that I was diagnosied with bilateral iritis and pulm sarc. It was my ophthalmologist that discovered the sarc-- actually he thought it was anklyosising spondlitis-- where the triangle at the base of the spine disintegrets. But the xrays and ESR levels were good-- but my ACE level and chest xrays looked so bad that I was in the next morning for a bronchoscopy. The pulm said 80% chance this is lung cancer, and 20% sarc. I got the sarc.... Years on pred, and a "slight" remission-- and then into full blown systemic sarc. It's been a long haul,, and we do have most of the issues under control. With the exception of my lungs and heart. I'll try to research some on the Beryllium-- that is an interesting concept. Welcome to the family, and ask away-- we're here to help each other thru it all. I'd be interested in hearing anything about this connection. Also, I lived on Midway Island in the 60s, which was a nuclear submarine base....hmmm. ...Keep us all posted, and my prayers are with you and your husband...(shannieme l)>> Let me check. I know I just read a research article, I have to try and find it that there is a high relationship between beryllium and Sarcoid> > > Neurosarcoidosis> > > > > > > > > > > > Good Morning--> My husband is stricken with Neurosarcoidosis. He has worked with the USN and retired in Spet. 1991, after 21 years of service. Apparently he worked with nuclear weapons. Is anyone familiarized with the word "beryllium?" Or what about Chronic Beryllium Disease (CBD), (i.e. berylliosis) ?> I'm seeking for people who served in the Military who has been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis.> Thank-you and God Bless.> > > > > > > > > > =>
