Guest guest
Hello everyone...My name is Annie. I had a RNY in October 1998. I only lost a dismal 72 pounds (I started at 262) gained back 10 and have been stable at 200 since June 1999. Losing weight has become almost impossible no matter what I do. I am a juvenile diabetic (39 years now)with a deforming disease of the feet called Charcot Foot. In 2002 I had lymphoma, got an ulceration on the bottom of my left foot which did not heal because fo the chemo. For the last 14 months I have been in a soft cast and the only walking I am allowed to do is limited to bathroom runs in my house. It is not the ideal situation for doing exercise and not gaining weight has been burdonsome. The depression has me either eating or engaging in retail therapy on the shopping channels. My sister who has just had a RNY told me about this site and I am suddenly exhilerated. I have spent the last 3 hours reading postings and have thought " Oh I can relate to that " more than I can count. Hope to " talk " with many of you soon.
