Guest guest
I copied this from the Obesityhelp.com site. I found some very interesting information at the American Obesity Association's site about their opposition to SAWS' " ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR OVERWEIGHT AMERICANS " In part, they state that The American Obesity Association feels this policy is unfair, discriminatory and mean-spirited. OAA is very concerned that the policy will provide a humiliating and insulting encounter between the airline and overweight passengers traveling with their family, friends and business colleagues. In addition, the policy is likely to disproportionately affect women, African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans and Native Americans who have higher rates of obesity than other groups. They also urge everyone to share with OAA any negative experience you have with any airlines regarding your weight. They have several recommendations on where to lodge complaints ~ with the OAA the airlines write your Senator and Member of Congress protesting this policy and ask for assistance Write the Department of Transportation to complain of this action. They have complete contact information on this site and some very interesting information.
