Guest guest
Hey There I wanted to ask you about your doctor deciding not to do lower jaw surgery. My surgeon said the same thing to me about my lower not needing to be moved depending on how far it moves by him just moving my upper jaw. That didn't come out how I wanted it to but I think you will get what I am trying to say... I have an open bite and I too need to work at closing my lips. The OS said that he didn't want to do both and I was quite concerned with this. I have a terrible profile as my chin looks like it is pushed way back into my neck. I have a major double chin when I smile and I just hate it. I was okay with my appearance up untill the time I finally deicided to take the plunge and do this whole thing. Now that I am getting it fixed I am really self conscious about my side profile. My OD said first thing that I have quite a recessed chin and I told him that I was very unhappy about it. He said that we will fix it. So my question is....did you have any say about him doing your lower jaw or did he do what he wanted? What was his reason for not doing both? How much did you lower jaw rotate up to match your upper jaw? Why didn't he do a chin implant at the time? Anything that you can tell me would be really appreciated...I am a bit worried that I will be left with this ugly side profile.......
