Ok... got the appointment for the consult in place... May 17 (later than I

wanted but still......)

They said I was mistaken or told wrong that it would be 3 months from date

of consult to date of surgery but could be sooner but on average it is about

3 months instead of the 1 month I thought I heard them tell me.

I went to the foot doctor today and he said I have a spur bigger than any he

has ever seen on my heel and a bunion on my little toe. Both will need

surgery. I asked him what causes it and he said weight and job..... well,

to make a long story short, he will sign any paper work for the insurance

company saying that my weight is causing the foot and ankle pain and that it

could cost me my job if I don't get something done about it.

I got two very very painful shots in each heel today so I am hobbling around

I have the spur and bunion on the left foot but he says it won't be long

till I have a spur forming on my right heel so I got some braces to wear at

night to keep the muscles pulled to help prevent the spur.

The good news from all this is that I have a co that will help the approval

process from the insurance for the r-n-y surgery.

The lady at the Bariatric Treatment Center says that although they don't do

the lap right now, they might very well have the equipment by the time of

our surgery so that might be an option for us for the same price.... wooo

hooooo. They said they will check for the option to do the lap. I would

like that so much more after hearing about the incisions opening up.

Anyway, thought I would share the new info.
