Not to worry. While in the casts there was compression to keep the

swelling down. Now out of the cast the ankle is still healing and

little ones are not keeping legs elevated so the swelling is where

gravity takes it. It really takes a body 6 weeks for initial healing

for any insult. If he is not too irritable I would not be concerned.

Try elevation and Ibuprophen.

Many of the " habits " need to be broken by the parents. We are

programed to be the little ones buffer to life and soon learn we may

be the culprit. I only say this as an experienced MOM and BAMA and

assisting parents along the way. " This too shall pass! "
