Guest guest
Hi, guys. I haven't been around as much lately, and am trying to catch up on posts...This has probably been addressed lately, but I haven't see anything...My daughter has bilateral clubfeet. Her tenetomy was done 4 weeks ago by Doctor Ponseti. Dr. P only did a tenetomy on her left foot, b/c he said that he right had good dorsiflexion...Here is my question...She has been out of her healing casts and in the shoes for a week now. The shoes are great, and she doesn't complain about them at all. The inside ankle of her left foot (the one that had the tenetomy) is so puffy and swollen. Is this just swelling from the tentomy (even though it is not in the tenetomy area), or even redistribution of fluid that was in her heel, or could this be something else? The right foot doesn't have anything like this. The heels are dropping, slowly but surely in the s. It is amazing to see the difference in heel placement everyday. I am just a little worried about this puffiness. This foot still seems really tender to her. She gets upset as I dorsiflex that foot. Any ideas? Thanks, everyone!
