Guest guest
I've seen dog collars made out of a nylon material that didn't have punched holes - you could just punch the ... spike?...through at any point. I've thought that would be a great way to go for optimum adjustment capability. No gap between holes being too tight or too loose. s. Re: P/M question As far as the straps breaking, I believe did change the " gauge " of leather he was using on the straps after our broke. He had me send him pics of the break and pics of what it was replaced with. We had a local shoe shop do the repair and in only took a few hours. The shop was certified for reapir of Birkenstock sandals, so the guy had all the proper supplies at hand. He also happended to know about the FAB/DBB style brace and had repaired some Markell's before! I understand that uses the suede for flexibility ... but I think sometimes that it would be better all around if the straps themselves were made out of tanned leather ... Angel > > Hello, everyone. It's been a very busy week here. To remind, we ordered the P/M's on received them last Monday. Karter would not wear them at all. I thought at first that the bar was to long, but finally yesterday I pulled out the Markells that he had and the shoes seemed to be out further on the P/M's. I took and moved them one notch by unscrewing the screw on the bottom. His Markells were set up by Dr. Ponseti himself, so I was just wondering if this is ok and to get anyone's opinion on the subject. > > Also, the plastic that comes up the back of the leg seems to bother him. Is there anything we can do about this? With the shoes being big they go up quite a ways on the leg. > > The P/M's they sent are a size 3 and kind of large. Could this be causeing the problem. His Markells were only a size 1. I am happy they made them large enough for some extra growth, for we do not know yet if the insurance will cover them. > > I am guessing it is the rotation of the shoes, because as of know he has had them on for 14 hours and is still sleeping. Before I moved them Karter would not wear them for longer than 30 min. > > The straps on these shoes are nice, but I am very worried that I will pull them to hard and brake them. I remember reading about putting something on the straps to make them go thru the buckle easier, could someone remind me what that was. > > > Thank you in advance > > Tabitha > Brittanie 2-9-00 > Karter 7-30-04 blcf now in P/M's > > > --------------------------------- > Bring words and photos together (easily) with > PhotoMail - it's free and works with Yahoo!
