Guest guest
The tests run should include a EEG--brain wave study. An MRI or CT of the brain with and without contrast. An EMG-- muscle reaction test. A Spinal Tap-- for inflammation markers in the spinal fluid. The other is Neuropsych testing. This is where you get to do the wonderful 8 page Question/Answer on are you really depressed, and they ask that question over and over on all 8 pages. If you weren't depressed before you started this form, you will be by the time you finish it. Neuropsych testing includes short-term memory recall, where they read you a list of words, and you are supposed to tell them what they said-- over and over. It also should include spacial puzzles-- geometric shapes that have to be put together to make something. They also give you a kids tool bench-- and the wrong tools to build it-- to see if you can problem solve. Each of these tests requires a specific part of the brain to function to complete the challenge-- and for those of us that don't show granulomas in our brains-- (most of us don't) it can confirm that something-- probably vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels) that can impair the results.
