Pregnancy...READ THIS!

HI Friends,

I just wanted to blow off some steam! I AM SO MAD! I was looking for

the DS Pregnany group on Yahoo...NO, I'm not preggers and don't even

know if my husband I will decide to go that route but I am a research

hound and wanted to read of people's experiences with pregnancy after

WLS, particularly the DS.

It takes much research and time for me to make a decision so , I

figured, lets read and see what's going on and when I'm able, in 2

years or so, and IF we decide to have a child, I'll know what may be

down the road for us...

I was unable to find the DS Pregnancy group that I had once heard

existed...so I join a " Pregnancy after weight loss surgery "

group...they all seemed pleasant enough...

I posed a quick question which was, " Has anyone out there gotten

pregnant after having the DS surgery? " Then I get a question, " What

is the DS? " I simply explain that it is a different type of surgery,

pyloric valve in tact, no dumping, and if someone wanted to know

more, they could go to www.duodenalswitch.com...yada, yada, yada...no

big whoop right?

SO here's why I'm MAD...I get responses from these women saying " Do

you know the NIH says the DS is dangerous " and " I had RNY so I would

dump and I'd know when I was bad " , etc, etc...! It mad me

furious...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHH!

I just wanted to talk about an issue that I may consider in the future

and get some feedback and learn...and I felt like I was " flamed " for

my surgery choice....I didn't play the mean game back, I just replied

with " I already chose the DS for myself and I am here to learn about

pregnancy after WLS...I do not welcome comments about what I have

already done in regards to my surgery choice " .

Am I overreacting? Am I too sensitive? It just really got to me!

I wish I had an everlast punching bag in my office!
