Guest guest
Corinne, I liked the book titled Teaching Children with Autism: Strategies to Enhance Communication and Socialization by Kathleen Ann Quill. She is actually the editor. It contains info on all levels of communication (nonverbal on up). It is pretty pricey, but I got mine from www.bestwebbuys.com. You can search by author, title, keyword or ISBN # (0827362692). When I checked, there was one listed for $38.94 (includes shipping and handling). If you need any additional info on the book, please Email me. 's teacher just sent it back to me. Message: 25 Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2001 00:10:19 EDT From: cwells1318@... Subject: Re: Books for Educating Aide and Teacher My son's Kindergarten aide and teacher have asked about what books they could read about autism and dealing with the receptive and expressive delays as well as the social delays. They want to help him but I don't feel the school knows how to educate them properly. I have him in an ABA program but don't want them doing drills with him. I want them to help him in the school setting. Any suggestions? Thanks, Corinne
