My son is 5.5 months. He has unilateral cf.

He just had a per. tenotomy done this last week.

I also was more worried over the general anthesia than the procedure

(well, untiil they took him back), but it was all over very quickly

and within 30 min, he was back with me, very groggy nursing.

I would advise going to a Children's Hospital for the procedure if u

have one within driving distance, but I am sure than all will be

well either way.

Good luck!!

Kailee 7-00

Ean 6-03

Isaac 7-05 right cf, 9 knee casts due to 3 relapses with incorrect

braces(grrr), post tenotomy in healing THIGH cast!!, next checkup on

Thursday, Jan 12th

bcf), and then a last cast that stayed on for 3 weeks (to hold the

correction of the tenotomy) before we started teh shoes. He was also

put 'under' with general anesthesia (sp!?), which kinda scared me,

but teh doctor assured me he'd never had a problem with it, and it

helped him get the procedure done correctly. When both heels need

the tenotomy, the second one can be more difficult as teh baby might

not sit still long enough, especially after teh first has been

performed. The 'surgery' took all of 15 minutes, and I was only away

from Eli for about 45-60 minutes. As soon as he started to wake up,

the nurses brought him to me and I was able to nurse him

immediately. He was groggy, so he couldn't nurse well, but I know it

helped him to know I was there... We didnt' have any ill-effects

from teh anesthesia.. Hope that helps!
