Sherri,

Unfortunately, I do not know much about lingual nerve injuries. The

center of my tongue felt the way you describe for about 3 weeks post

op. I thought I had burned it drinking my coffee too hot as I lacked

any sensation in my mouth for the first week or so. Maybe it was due

to a temporary nerve damage instead.

I hope the rest of your recovery goes well.
