Guest guest
Regarding: >>Also, it's interesting that apparently they still don't " get " why you made reference to the organic ingredient list, which includes BARLEY, OATS, and RYE.<< >>I found this interesting too. When I referenced this statement I was questioning barley oats and rye being used, which is a huge no, no for our kids. I was not questioning whether they are organic or not.<< Special Foods serves a broad community of individuals with allergies and sensitivities that extend beyond GFCF. Some individuals are sensitive to wheat, but not to gluten, and are fine with barley, oats etc. Of our 450 products, 7 products contain gluten. Three baking powders: rye, barley, and oat. Three pastas: rye, barley, and oat. One cracker: oat. In each product, the name of the food is included in the product name, making it very easy to identify. No common equipment is used in production, and these three flours are milled in a separate facility. We do not make products containing more than one flour, eg, our sweet potato bread contains only sweet potato flour. So these 7 products are the only products in which these flours are found. The list you refer to lists the grains and seeds category, not the rest of our large product lines - artichoke, water chestnut, white sweet potato, malanga, cassava, lotus, arrowroot, yam. There is a large series of products from each of these. Also all products from these are gluten free and caseine free, and for food allergy folks, free of everything else as well - sugar, corn, rice, soy, other legumes, nuts, methylcellulose and other dough conditioners, guar gum, and other mucilages and gums, etc, etc. SF Re: Notice from specialfoods.com - For Jay
